R. Paul Singh, President & CEO

R. Paul Singh, President & CEOR. Paul Singh has over 20 years of experience in general management, marketing and business development in the communications industry. He founded ipVerse/Veraz (NASDAQ: VRAZ) which develops and manufactures Voice over IP switches for Telecom service providers worldwide. There he served in several management roles over nine years, from CEO to VP to GM. Before founding ipVerse, Mr. Singh held executive positions including CEO and co-founder of Internetware, an Internet security company later acquired by Quarterdeck, president of Launch Marketing, where he worked with Ascend, Netopia, and Sun Microsystems on product strategy and launch plans, and director of marketing for Telebit, a pioneer of remote access technology later acquired by Cisco Systems. Mr. Singh also worked at Sun Microsystems on projects involving integration of voice and data networking, and with 3Com in various product management and strategic marketing roles. He has co-authored three books on Internet related topics, published by New Riders Publishing.

Faraz Hoodbhoy, Founder, Executive VP, & CTO

Faraz Hoodbhoy, Founder, Executive VP, & CTOFaraz most recently served as Vice President of Business Development at NextBrick Solutions, Ltd., and was responsible for its Enterprise Search practice. Prior to that as Director Technical Sales at Clickmarks, Inc., Faraz developed key relationships around Clickmarks´ mobile integration platform with carriers in North and South America. As Director Global Solutions at Unisys Corporation, he created and implemented technology strategy for Unisys´ mobile and wireless field-force solutions offerings. At Cap-Gemini Ernst and Young, Faraz was part of the Center for Business Innovation where his research focus was on corporate performance measurement. Faraz started his career at Microsoft on the team responsible for building the XML 1.0 standard. He is co-author of the book, "Applied XML - A Toolkit for Programmers" and holds a BS in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer.

Lloyd Oki, VP of Worldwide Sales

Lloyd Oki, VP of Worldwide Sales Lloyd most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Openwave Asia-Pacific and Japan Region, where he led a $100M business unit that accounted for more than 20 percent of Openwave's global revenues. His extensive experience also includes senior positions at Compaq/HP, Clickmarks Inc., and Commerce One where he served as VP of Sales, Asia-Pacific. At Commerce One, Lloyd´s efforts contributed to Commerce One´s successful IPO and rapid growth; Lloyd grew the Asia organization from its inception to over $50M in annual revenues in less than 1.5 years. Lloyd graduated from Northwestern University with a BA Economics.


Dr. Asad Islam, Chief Scientist

Dr. Asad Islam, Chief ScientistDr. Islam most recently served at Nokia Research Center where he worked for 7 years in research and development in delivering mobile imaging solutions for Nokia´s mobile phones. Asad developed and led his team to an award-winning, device-resident, compressed domain video editing technology that is carried in over 10 million Nokia units. While there, he co-designed and developed Nokia´s JPEG 2000 image surfing application for surfing and viewing high resolution images on mobile phones. Asad´s research improved the performance of JPEG 2000 and Motion JPEG 2000 across Nokia´s handheld devices line. In addition to his significant contributions to the JPEG 2000 standard, Asad is also the co-author of 17 research publications and co-holder of 15 patents in image and video processing. Asad’s interests are in Digital Image and Video Compression, Processing and Transmission. He started his career at Ericsson Telecom and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer.

Adnan Agboatwalla, Founder, COO & GM – Offshore Operations

Adnan Agboatwalla, Founder, COO & GM – Offshore OperationsAdnan most recently served as Director Operations at NextBrick Solutions, where he was responsible for managing off-shore/on-shore hybrid delivery teams. As Managing Director of Clickmarks, he built and ran its offshore development team of 30 people. Adnan also served as VP Products at Clickmarks and was responsible for designing Clickmarks´ mobile application development platform. While at Clickmarks, he spent several years working with Telcos in Japan, North and South America. Adnan started his career in General Electric´s prestigious Technical Leadership Program. Adnan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Scott Ritchie, Co-Founder, VP of Business Development

Scott Ritchie, Co-Founder, VP of Business Development Scott most recently served as Vice President Strategic Sales and Business Development at Clickmarks, where he was responsible for Asia partnerships and business development. At Clickmarks, he built distribution channels with carriers and system integrators in Japan, and raised strategic investment from blue chip companies based in Japan. Prior to Clickmarks, Scott was Director Business Development at Commerce One, Scott where he propelled Commerce One´s Asia revenues and raised strategic and venture investment for joint venture formations he established with over 15 of the largest corporations in Asia. Before Commerce One, he served as Director of Internet Business Development in APAC at Compaq Computer Corporation, managing a team that developed business models and online strategy, technical architecture, and marketing partnerships with internet startups and blue chip corporations developing an online presence in Greater China. Scott began his career at Lotus Development Corporation in Product Management and was later part of a team responsible for launching Lotus operations in China. Scott holds a BA from The University of Texas, Austin.
